Credential Evaluations
Credential evaluations can be requested by various individuals and organizations, including:
International Students: Need evaluations to ensure foreign qualifications meet U.S. institution standards.
Foreign Professionals: May require evaluations for licensure or employment in regulated fields.
Employers: Request evaluations to verify the validity of foreign degrees and certifications.
Immigration Applicants: Might need evaluations to support visa or residency applications.
Educational Institutions: Assess eligibility for admissions or credit transfer for non-U.S. educational backgrounds.
Professional Licensing Boards: Use evaluations to determine qualifications for licenses in fields like healthcare, engineering, and teaching.
These groups benefit from credential evaluations to recognize foreign education and training in the U.S.
Document-by-Document Evaluations
A document-by-document (DbyD) credential evaluation assesses each educational document submitted by an individual to determine its U.S. equivalent and ensure it meets educational standards. The process includes:
Collection of Documents: Applicants submit transcripts, diplomas, and relevant documentation.
Verification: Each document is verified for authenticity, often by contacting issuing institutions.
Evaluation Process: Documents are assessed for equivalency in the U.S. education system, comparing academic content, grading systems, and education levels.
Report Generation: A detailed report outlines findings and U.S. equivalents for each credential, useful for employment, further education, or immigration.
This evaluation is ideal for individuals seeking recognition of their educational qualifications.

Course-by-Course Evaluations
A course-by-course (CbyC) credential evaluation is essential for validating foreign educational credentials in the U.S. It analyzes each course on transcripts, offering insights into the academic rigor and relevance of prior studies.
The evaluation provides a detailed breakdown of course descriptions, credit hours, and grades, establishing the equivalence of foreign courses in the U.S. educational system for institutional and employer understanding.
Evaluations are vital for professional and academic goals, often necessary for higher education admissions, professional licenses, or securing jobs requiring recognized qualifications. Course-by-course evaluations provide a thorough overview of an individual's academic background, aiding institutions and employers in evaluating candidates' qualifications.
A course-by-course credential evaluation is typically conducted by certified evaluation services that adhere to established guidelines and methodologies, ensuring the reliability and validity of the findings.
